Just got several encouraging reports: The fluke have started to move into the areas off the beaches and squid have started to migrate west from Buzzard’s Bay and Martha’s Vineyard. Adult bunker have also started to move into the area and this, coupled with the squid migration, can only mean that the bigger bass are right behind. Speaking of stripers, the Watch Hill reef boaters as well as the surf casters off the beaches have been landing some keeper bass. Not trophy fish, but 28-30 inches. I think that in 10-14 days, things will be fantastic, which bodes well for the Memorial day weekend. I will be doing some scouting in the next few days and my findings will be reported here under fishing news.
